If you are reading the first entry of this blog, then you have found your way to the new web home of the Louisiana Association of Professional Biologists. This has been 2 years in the making, and we hope you will find that it has been worth the wait.

While the site may be lean now, with your help, we hope to fill it with articles and resources for both students and professionals alike. Some of the new features you will find here are: "Gators, Ducks, Sparrows, and Fire", the Blog of the Louisiana Association of Professional Biologists (look out for a future blog explaining the name); Helpful links, a resource for students and professionals to locate conservation agencies, organizations, and universities around Louisiana and beyond; the LAPB Jobboard, a resource for job seekers looking for conservation jobs, internships, and graduate school opportunities in the state; our past newsletters; events; and more.

We hope this website continues to grow as our organization does!
